You read Deut. like: God what does this have to do with us? But I think its awesome how many scholars- who don't believe in God, and certianly don't believe that the Bible is his Word- marvel at the wisdom & insight of the book. Every law he made for "His people" with regards to their bodies/food points to his divinity. The foods he told them to eat, we now know, are by far the best for you in every way. There are so many things like this in the OT that prove the divine author of this "book". i dont make many comments but i think these "fingerprints" he left us all over the OT are just awesome.
