The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. Wow! what a statement by Jesus. Sometimes I think we tend to believe that the harvest is seasonal and that there are times when it happens and times when it doesn't and that we have no control over it one way or another. Yet Jesus says here that the harvest is on all the time. The problem is a worker issue. There aren't enough people in the kingdom that are making outreach a high enough priority. So Jesus tells us to pray that God will send more. But I don't think we can pray that without saying like Isaiah did "here am I Lord, send me."
