verses 13-16 of the Psalm give some direction in praying for the peace of Jerusalem, being able to thank God for His heart toward them/us.
ReplyDeleteThe story of Samson is a story of the lesser of two evils. though we wouldn't normally call Samson evil, he would definitely make the average evangelical Christian very uncomfortable. Yet God uses him to judge Israel. It's an amazing story that tells us that, again, we cannot put God in a box nor can we contain him in our sometimes small theological framework. As I said before at the beginning of our readings in the Judges, God is wild and uncontainable in this book that is more reminiscent of the wild west or middle earth than our somewhat tame imaginations.
